Busy week (including Iguazu)

Hi friends,
This week I am blessed to be able to spend time with my parents in Buenos Aires. We started Thursday off with a brief tour of my neighborhood in which we were interrupted by rain while at the park. We quickly walked back to my house and just relaxed for awhile. My parents tried Maté and didn't like it very much.

The next day we had an early start. We were catching an 8:45am plane to Iguazu, one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. On the decent into the airport we were met with rain but went to the park anyway for a very wet walk up to the Devil's Throat Falls.

We left the park early that day because we were cold, wet, and tired. But the next day with another early start we got to the falls for a beautiful day. The falls were incredible! There were so many that were so beautiful.

The falls above are called Dos Hermanas (two sisters) but for my sake I'm calling them Dos Hermanos (two siblings) and I am sad because I was missing my two siblings, Hannah and Andrew :-(  Wish you guys were here too!

When we returned after our good day at the falls, my mom, dad and I went to a tango lesson/dinner/show.  I have been taking tango here so a lot of what we learned was review for me but it was new for my parents. It was fun and funny to see them dance tango. By the end they got paso basico down! :-) We got certificates saying we passed the class and could eat dinner.

Yesterday we slept in, then saw the Casa Rosada (our whole tour was in Spanish even though I asked for an English one for my parents, so I spent time trying to figure out how to translate), then we went to San Telmo and finished by going to El Ataneo (the cool bookstore). I bought Harry Potter #5 in Spanish! Unfortunately, I left it at the restaurant where we ate dinner so hopefully when we go back today to ask, they will have it.

Back to classes for me today. Im off to tango! Tonight mom and dad come eat dinner with Marta and me! (Hopefully I finished my fiction essay before then)
