Hi friends,
I know I told you my last post was probably my last but I decided to change that. As many of you probably know I did ballet when I was probably about 6 or 8, but soon after decided sports were more my thing; however, Hannah stuck with ballet for a long time, so I grew up going to shows like the Nutcracker. Today I had the opportunity to go with friends to an historical theatre, Teatro Colon, to watch a ballet. It was beautiful (both the theatre and the ballet). The male lead was very talented, and the female lead as well. They were so graceful to the point where it looked like they put in no effort at all, almost like they were gliding across the stage. The amount of discipline and practice to get to that point is unreal. I wish that my sister had been at the show with me to explain the intricacies of the story (dance is very symbolic and she is a lot better at understanding it than I am) and to watch this beautiful production. I tried to take some pictures but my camera does not do well in low light settings.
Going to the ballet was a great way to spend one of my last nights here. Afterwards we went to get pizza and got free desserts! Overall, a very good night :-)
See you soon!
P.S (random stuff going on right now) As of Monday I finished classes! Such a relief. So far I only know one of my six grades: grammar, which went well (B+/A-). However, I am fairly certain I failed my history exam (not exaggerating) that I spent 3 whole days studying for, but I am not upset about it because I know I tried my best and the class was definitely worth it and actually turned out to be one of my favorites. The whole semester came down to 4 questions (the final was the only grade that counted), of which I knew part of 2 of them. :-/
I got offered a volunteer position as a Global Education Ambassador for Gordon, which means I will get to share my experiences here and convince others that studying abroad really is the chance of a lifetime.
I am excited to come home on Sunday, but will definitely miss parts of my study abroad experience.
The next 3 days (as of now) holds sleeping, packing, going to an art museum, and going to the planetarium
